How Do You Get Here?

Many nurses travelling to Australia pass through a number of countries making it a venture holiday.  Others choose to fly direct to one of the capital cities such as Melbourne, Sydney or Perth.  A number of airlines fly direct to Australia with short stop-overs.

If you are travelling on a twelve month holiday visa this is activated as soon as you arrive in the country.

Nurses wishing to travel to Australia and work can do so in a number of ways.

Non-residents who want to work while in Australia are required to have a visa which gives work rights. Please contact the Department of Immigration for detailed information.

12 month Working Holiday visas are available to 18 - 35 year olds (without dependant children) passport holders from: United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, Canada, Hong Kong (SAR of People's Republic of China), Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, South Korea, Malta, Germany and Japan.
